Your writers are guessing. The five pages beating them are public. Read them first.
$1.50 reads the five pages already ranking, in full, and turns them into a brief your writer can open and start from. The same brief inside a retainer runs $125 and up.
- Per brief
- $1.500
- A hundred a month
- $150.00
- Costs us to produce
- $0.09
- Sales calls required
- None
You already have a team. We are not pitching you a retainer.
This is for teams who already write. It does not write for you and it will not pretend to. It does the part nobody has time for: opening every page that already ranks, reading all of it, and working out what they all cover and what none of them do.
Built for
- In house content teams with writers already on payroll
- Agencies who want their juniors briefing at director standard
- Anyone briefing more than ten pieces a month by hand
- Teams who already know their topics and need the groundwork done
Not built for
- Anyone looking for AI to write the article itself
- Teams with no writer to hand the brief to
- People who want a keyword list rather than a brief
- Anyone expecting it to decide what is worth writing
If you have people in house, hiring an agency to write these is paying twice. So we are not selling you the service. We are selling you the machine your own team runs, at what it costs to run plus five percent.
If you would rather have a second opinion on top of it, hire us as a consultant to your team, not as a replacement for it. That is a separate conversation and it starts at hello@thebluntagency.com.
One keyword in. Five pages read. One brief out.
- 01 You type the topic and the keyword Nothing else. It does not need your analytics, your site or your login.
- 02 The live search result gets pulled Top 100, current, not a cached index from last month.
- 03 The top five get read in full The whole page, rendered. Not the meta description, not the first paragraph.
- 04 The brief gets written against them What all five cover becomes table stakes. What none cover becomes your angle.
It takes about ninety seconds. Your writer opens the result and starts, instead of opening ten tabs and starting in an hour.
A brief, not a keyword dump.
Tables your writer can work from and you can hand to a client without editing it first.
$1.50 a brief. Here is everything behind that number.
Two numbers matter and both are on this page. What it costs us to produce one, and what the same work costs you when you buy it as a retainer. We sit between them and we are not going to be coy about where.
So what is the $0.09 to $1.50 for?
Not the software. Software that reads five pages is a weekend of work and you should not pay a premium for it.
You are paying for the judgement encoded in what comes back, and for what it replaces. The prompts, the structure, the rules about what counts as a gap and what is table stakes, and the things it refuses to say because they are not supported by what it read. That took years of doing this work badly first, and it is the difference between output you can hand to a writer and output somebody has to check line by line.
The honest test is the one above. If the same deliverable costs $400 inside a retainer and $1.50 here, the price is not the argument. The output is. If it is not good enough, do not buy it, and tell us why.
What one run actually costs us
| What happens | What it costs us |
|---|---|
| Live search result, top 100 | $0.0030 |
| Five ranking pages, read in full | $0.0100 |
| Coverage gap check | $0.0020 |
| Model reads roughly 20,000 words and writes the brief | $0.0750 |
| Production cost | $0.0900 |
| Everything else, which is our margin | $1.4100 |
| You pay | $1.50 |
25 briefs a month costs you $37.50 here, against $10,000 and up bought as a retainer. Your team still decides what to write and still writes it. This does the reading and the structure.
50 briefs a month costs you $75.00 here, against $20,000 and up bought as a retainer. Your team still decides what to write and still writes it. This does the reading and the structure.
100 briefs a month costs you $150.00 here, against $40,000 and up bought as a retainer. Your team still decides what to write and still writes it. This does the reading and the structure.
250 briefs a month costs you $375.00 here, against $100,000 and up bought as a retainer. Your team still decides what to write and still writes it. This does the reading and the structure.
500 briefs a month costs you $750.00 here, against $200,000 and up bought as a retainer. Your team still decides what to write and still writes it. This does the reading and the structure.
1,000 briefs a month costs you $1,500.00 here, against $400,000 and up bought as a retainer. Your team still decides what to write and still writes it. This does the reading and the structure.
You are billed for documents produced. A month where your team produces nothing costs nothing, which is the part a retainer can never offer you.
The retainer range is what we have quoted and what we have been quoted for a content programme covering research, briefing and optimisation recommendations. No competitor is named here and we have not audited anyone's invoice, so it is presented as a range rather than a number we cannot stand behind.
One field. No demo call.
You get one email when it opens, and one more if it never does. That is the entire sequence.
We store the address and nothing else. No tracking pixel on this page, no third party analytics on this form.
Working the other end of the job? The Blunt Rewrite takes a page that already exists and says what to change.
The questions we would ask.
Does it write the article?
No. It reads and it briefs. Your writer writes. If you wanted the article generated you are on the wrong page and probably the wrong site.
Why is it this much cheaper than an agency?
Because you are not paying for the account manager, the status call, the deck, or the hours somebody spent reading those five pages by hand. You already employ the people who use this. We publish our production cost so you can see exactly what you are and are not paying for.
What if I only need six a month?
Then you pay for six. There is no minimum and no annual commitment.
Do you see our keywords?
We see what you run through it, because it runs on our keys. We do not sell it, share it or train anything on it.
Can we get help interpreting the output?
Yes, as a consultant to your team rather than a retainer replacing it. Email us and we will scope it honestly.
When does it open?
When it is genuinely ready for people who are not us. You get one email when that happens, and one if it never does.
