SEO that tells you the truth. Even when it costs us.

Agencies blame AI Overviews for drops they caused. We will tell you the real reason. If SEO is not your problem, we will say so before you pay us.

The products

Three tools. Every price published.

Built for teams who already have people. We are not selling you our hours, we are selling you what our hours run on.

Rank tracking

The Blunt Rank

Every keyword, checked live, with your competitors on the same call.

Most trackers charge you per keyword and then charge you again to watch a rival. This does not. You see your position, theirs, and what moved since the last check.

$100 tracks 2,000 keywords a month
Content briefs

The Blunt Brief

It reads the five pages already beating you. In full. Then it briefs.

Your writers are guessing at what the winning pages contain. Those pages are public. This opens all five, reads every word, and returns what they all cover and what none of them do.

Per brief

On a retainer
$400+
$1.50 a brief. The same brief on a retainer runs $400 and up.
Reoptimisation

The Blunt Rewrite

A decision on every heading the page already has.

Not a list of suggestions somebody has to interpret. Keep, sharpen or cut against each heading, what to add and where, and an explicit list of what a rewrite must not break.

On a retainer
$400+
$1.50 a plan, against $400 and up on a retainer. Runs on any URL.
Why This Exists

Four things I watched happen. Then I started this.

We are new, so we have no results to show you. We have the reason we exist instead.

Exhibit 01 / The scapegoat

I watched agencies blame AI Overviews for traffic drops that had nothing to do with AI Overviews.

So We find the real cause and name it. Even when it is something we did.

The longer version

It is the perfect excuse. External, fashionable, impossible for a client to argue with.

Meanwhile the real cause sits untouched for two quarters. A botched migration. Thin pages eating each other. An internal linking change nobody wrote down.

Exhibit 02 / The incentive

I always got pissed at agencies working to grow their own business rather than the client's.

So We would rather lose a retainer than keep one that only works for us.

The longer version

It is rarely anything as clean as dishonesty. It is a hundred small decisions that happen to favour the agency.

Scope that grows. Deliverables that fill hours. A recommendation that happens to need another retainer. Each one defensible on its own, and together they stop being about you.

Exhibit 03 / The number

Pitches get won on projections nobody believes. A few hundred percent growth, on a deadline, delivered with a straight face.

So You get a range and the assumptions. It will look boring next to a hockey stick. Good.

The longer version

The people presenting those numbers usually do not believe them either.

They use them because the honest forecast sitting beside them looks timid. That is the disease. Honest forecasting loses pitches and saves budgets.

Exhibit 04 / The story

I watched an agency build a story to close the deal, not the story the data supported.

So We tell the story the numbers tell. Sometimes duller. Always decidable.

The longer version

Storytelling is not the enemy. Storytelling detached from the truth is.

A narrative built to close is a narrative you defend long after the data stops supporting it.

Straight with you: Nobody has heard of us. No logo wall, no testimonials, no case studies, and we will not borrow anyone else's. Judge us on the thinking.

The Manifesto

Five rules we do not bend, even when bending them would pay.

Not values on a wall. Terms of the relationship.

01 / TRUTH

We do not sugarcoat to keep you.

If your team caused the drop, we say so. If we caused it, we say so faster.

02 / FOUNDATION

The relationship runs on truth.

Flat is flat, and it goes on page one. No deck engineered to look busy.

03 / EXIT

We endorse firing us.

Your money is our money. The day we stop earning it, staying is theft with extra steps.

04 / FORECASTS

No invented numbers to close you.

No hockey sticks. Anyone promising a growth multiple on a deadline is selling the pitch.

05 / SELF-EXIT

We will fire ourselves for you.

Wrong stage, wrong channel, wrong problem for SEO? We end it and say where the money should go.

∞ / RESULT

What this buys you.

Nothing is managed around you. No decoding emails. No reading between lines.

Sample Verdicts

The kind of thing we will actually say to you.

Not testimonials. We do not have those yet.

What We Do

SEO, minus the parts that only exist to fill a retainer.

We will tell you which of these you do not need.

A / DIAGNOSIS

Traffic-drop forensics

Migration damage, cannibalisation, index bloat, core updates. Named with evidence, fixed by your developers.

B / CONTENT

Content built to be cited

Written by people who have run the campaigns they write about. Included in both packages, never an upsell.

C / CONVERSION

Turning traffic into pipeline

Experiments with the hypothesis written before the result. Traffic that does not convert is a cost.

D / PRODUCTION

Content at a published rate

One thousand dollars per fifty thousand words. The rate is on the pricing page, not behind a call.

E / AI SEARCH

AI Overviews and SERP reality

Exactly which of your terms are affected. And which of your drops are not.

F / REPORTING

Reporting you can act on

One page. It opens with the bad news, because that is the part you can still fix.

The Terms

What you get, and what you will never get.

Read the right column. It is the more useful one.

What you get

  • A written verdict before you pay anything.
  • Forecasts as ranges, with the downside case stated.
  • The real cause of a drop, with evidence.
  • Reporting that leads with what did not work.
  • Month to month. Leave whenever.
  • A direct line to the person doing the work.

What you will never get

  • A growth multiple invented to survive a pitch.
  • AI Overviews blamed for a drop we have not traced.
  • A narrative built to close you.
  • Impressions waved around when revenue has not moved.
  • A twelve-month lock-in.
  • Borrowed case studies from work we did not do.
  • Technical implementation. We spec it, your developers ship it.
  • Digital PR or link building. We do not sell it in any form.
The Sequence

Four steps. One of them is us saying no.

STEP 01

The Diagnosis

We look at the numbers before the brief. The brief is usually a symptom.

STEP 02

The Verdict

One page. What is wrong, what it takes to fix, and whether you should hire us at all.

STEP 03

The Work

Small team, direct access, month to month. No narrative management.

STEP 04

The Exit

Planned from day one. We hand over, or we end it ourselves.

Standing Invitation

Fire us. We mean it.

We hate losing our own money. That does not switch off because the money is now ours. Stop being the best use of your budget, and we should go.

No exit penalty

Thirty days notice. No clawback, no minimum term.

You keep everything

Every account and document stays yours. We hand over, we do not hold hostage.

We fire ourselves too

If it has become baggage, we say so first. Including when you had not noticed.

You get the handover

Where the next dollar should go. Even when it is not to us.
